Signature Cocktail for Our Easter Buffet
at Frog Hollow Farm
The Daffolini
Fill the bottom of a champagne flute with the following:
2 Tablespoons of Chilled Italian Limoncello
2 Tablespoons of Absolute Citron Vodka
1 Tablespoon of Orange or Lemon Infused Simple Sugar
Top it off with very cold Italian Proseco (not too brut) and a small piece of lemon peel.
I decorated simple champagne flutes with silk daffodils and ribbons, and used a glue gun to adhere the flower to the bottom of the glass stem. I then tied three colors of ribbon around the flower where it was glued.
I thought the looked very festive, especially when placed all together on a tray, but my daughter thought they looked like a bad attempt at a bridal shower favor!
Oh well, they may have been a bit overdone but they were colorful and fun!!!!
Ciao, bella!!
Don't you just love comments from the peanut gallery? My poor wife has three daughters, none of whom are shy about their "helpful suggestions". Oh well they mean well. I think they look great, the drink sounds very interesting, have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI think they are adorable and very springy.
ReplyDeleteThe Daffolini's sound great and I think the glasses look perfect! I'm glad the weather in NJ is just as great as it is here in MO. My sis lives in NJ, BTW. Oh, and about the giveaways...I didn't enter any for the first year or so of blogging but now I enter a few here and there and they are a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day,
Jackie
Oooh.....I'm going to definitely have to try this!
ReplyDeleteGood styling with the photos, too!
Hugs, lana
Yummy Ann Marie!! Looks delicious and sounds delicious. Your pictures are so pretty, I will try and make this soon..I have a lot of Limoncello we brought back from Italy. I hope you had a wonderful Easter. The weather is just so spectacular and I even though I was so busy with Easter cooking and entertaining I feel so rested and relaxed now!!

Oh, this is beautiful! I love the name of your blog--we have many frogs at the farm. I will let you know about the essential lavender oil. With 5 drops to 5 ounces (shaken not stirred), it should be blended. I haven't noticed any stains on my linen, but I don't have vintage pillowcases. I will try it on an old napkin and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog! It looks like you are an old pro at it! Those Daffolinis look great! I have a girlfriend Julie that just loves all things Italian ( don't we all : ) I'm going to make those for her! Looks like Easter is a fun place to be at Frog Hollow. Just beautiful! I'm going to add you to my list of fav's so I can pop back in again! Have a great week! Sherri : )
