Summer and sunflowers, the perfect combination. I just love these magnificent flowers! We have several varieties here at Frog Hollow Farm, with colors that range from lemony yellow to a russet burgundy. The volunteers from last summer are flowering first, with the remainder of the flowers ready to blossom in the next week or so.
I'm linked over to The Tablescaper's Summer Sunday - please take a minute to stop by and browse through all of the wonderful summer inspirations.
Ciao, bella!!
Beautiful, sunflowers are very cheerful flowers! My volunteers from last year have faded, I took the heads down to the creek for the critters the other day. Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely sunflowers! They are so happy aren't they. I love little volunteers. I have a nice pumpkin volunteer this year that I hope does well. Enjoy your gorgeous flowers this lovely Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love your gingham tablecloth paired with those very very happy sunflowers!! Ours are growing away up in the pumpkin patch on the hill. I hope you and all your guests had a nice day yesterday.

I love sunflowers, they really are beautiful with their happy faces reaching up to the sky. That was one lovely bouquet!

Hello friend....your sunflowers are so beautiful. I have a large painting done of a single flower some years and it is still my absolute favorite piece of art I own. The sunflower is such a regal flower and such a survivor!!!!

Greetings, Bella! That sunflower yellow looks absolutely magnificent with the green checkered table cloth. I love it! I'm still waiting on my sunflowers to bloom and can't hardly wait now!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, for stopping by my blog, over th weekend and leaving a comment. We did have a fun chat over there, didn't we? :-)
ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers are lovely, but I've never seen russet burgundy ones! Oh my, they must be magnificent!
And back to the "blogging" topic I had this weekend... Me too, I get tired of making comments in a blog, when that blogger never comes over to mine, and never comments anything. And I feel I have a right to feel this way. -pout- I'm not as nice as you are, with your saying; "Oh well..." :-)
Ahhhhh the subject of how we blog and how we comment and how we read blogs, and on and on and on. It never wears out, as a topic. Maybe because blogging is always evolving. And new bloggers are always showing up, to "join the party." Which is just super!!!
Hello FHFG! This is my first comment on your blog. I love it! Great photos and recipes. Sunflowers, along with lilacs, are my favorites. I love bringing a big bouquet of them to dinner parties - they always stand out. Of course, a bottle of wine with them doesn't hurt either. I am hoping to grow a long row of them in the back of our hay field next year. Thanks for following my new blog - hope you like it.
ReplyDeleteHi Bella, I tried to post the Bea button on here but it wont let me because of the HTML Tags. If you go to my page, you can grab the new code. You'll notice that I also changed it a little. The colors should fit in better with your page and it's a little bit smaller. I hope it works for you. I'll keep playing with the size and see if I can get it even smaller!
ReplyDeleteHope you like it!
Cindy~
